Strategic Insurance Partnerships Specialist
In this role, you will be the primary point person working with the Business Development team with Tesla’s internal network of wholly owned Collision centers to support Insurance industry process improvements. Your responsibility is to innovate and create strategies that improve the process for all parties. Your goals are to make work fairly priced for both Tesla and insurance companies, with a faster and better experience for our mutual customers. Projects would include improving the speed to collect insurance payments, or working with insurance executives or training teams to improve understanding Tesla repairs and processes to increasing the speed of estimate or supplement approvals. You will be measured on your area’s performance, strategic agility, and ability to innovate on Tesla’s vision with a relentless focus on our customer and building trust both internally and externally.
This role can be located in either Fremont, CA or Austin, TX.
- Align cross-functionally with other teams managing various functions to ensure understanding of company objectives
- Manage and execute projects end to end, whilst driving integration and optimization of all corresponding components, documentation, processes
- Time management, define, schedule, and accurately estimate the task duration to develop and maintain a realistic schedule
- Manage issues and risk, identify problems and risks, work towards resolving them quickly
- Guide your stakeholders in defining and delivering clear requirements to identify, prioritize and scope projects to deliver against business objectives. Interpret business challenges, create process mapping, analyze potential improvements, and translate these into best practices and solutions
- Liaise between the business, insurance companies, and project teams and understand what objectives can support the business. Consult with the business to identify opportunities and execute requirements analyses by influencing the best outcome for the business, whilst considering and managing stakeholders
- Apply out of the box thinking, problem-solving abilities and operational procurement experience to derive technical solutions
- Minimum of 10 years of collision or insurance industry experience. Advanced knowledge of estimating systems, will keen ability to read, understand, and explain an insurance estimate
- Experience with stakeholder management and building strong relationships across business functions
- Positive attitude in stressful situations. Flexibility with last-minute changes and working hours is necessary because you might need to interact with teams in different time zones
- Ability to pinpoint problems and find creative solutions in collaboration with your business partners
- Must be proficient user in Microsoft Office
- Highly collaborative and team-oriented, while also able to work independently
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, multitask and prioritize appropriately. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to follow instructions required
