Registered Nurse (Hope House on Crotona Park (HHCP))
The Registered Nurse (RN) for Hope House on Crotona Park (HHCP) is a key member of our residential alternative to incarceration program, providing compassionate, trauma-informed nursing support to the sixteen (16) co-ed residents living within the Hope House residential program – a justice-involved population living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and, in many cases, co-occurring substance use disorders.
The RN is responsible for medication administration, overseeing medication monitoring procedures, completing physical health assessments and assisting in the oversight of medical-related policies and procedures within the residential setting. The RN will ensure that medical and health-related services are delivered in accordance with New York State licensing standards and within the scope of professional nursing practice. Hope House will have an onsite licensed clinic to provide therapeutic and psychiatric services to residents as part of a multidisciplinary team. The RN will coordinate closely with the Program Director, Residence Supervisors, residential staff, Clinic Director and outside medical providers to integrate psychiatric clinical and medical care into each resident’s comprehensive treatment plan.

This is a part-time position averaging 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule determined in collaboration with the Program Director to meet program needs. Some administrative or coordination duties may be completed remotely when appropriate.
This position reports directly to the Program Director.

The RN is responsible for overseeing the medication system and medical coordination within the residence. Direct medication administration may occur as needed but is not required for all scheduled medication times.
