Project Details:

• Sustainable Municipal Infrastructure Financing in Tamil Nadu Phase III (SMIF-TN-III) was built upon the successful implementation of SMIF-TN-II. Phase III covers refinancing of urban infrastructure sub-projects for a positive impact on climate resilience.
• KfW Bank has informed TNUIFSL to monitor sub-projects spread across the state through remote monitoring mechanisms and requested TNUIFSL to explore the feasibility of using suitable remote monitoring systems.
• The remote monitoring module is to be interlinked through APIs with the existing Urban Tree Information System (UTIS) developed by the DMA for progress monitoring of projects implemented in ULBs under various KfW and World Bank funded schemes.

Job Description:

• Support the preparation of all deliverables in terms of review, submission of drafts, compliances to client/stakeholder comments, submission of final reports
• Day to day coordination with Client and stakeholders, data collection, data analysis, background research, preparation of briefs, reports, and presentations
• Undertake site visits to ULBs in Tamil Nadu for reconnaissance surveys, selection of projects, identification of suitable remote monitoring methodologies
• Conceptual design of mobile and desktop applications for remote monitoring, management and verification (RMMV) systems, including drafting of functional requirement specifications, software requirement specifications
• Conceptual design of APIs needed to interface RMMV software with existing UTIS software being used by the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) of Tamil Nadu
• Development of rate analyses and cost estimates for proposed system components
• Support preparation of bid documents, works specifications, draft contracts
• Support organization of project workshops
• Reporting shall be to the Project Team Leader

Minimum Qualifications & Work Experience Required:

• Bachelors degree in Information technology (IT) or in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).
• Masters degree or diploma will be an advantage.
• At least 5 years of work experience covering one or more of the following areas:
• Design and installation of sensors and communication systems for remote monitoring of infrastructure assets and/or construction projects or similar work.
• Design and development of dashboards, applications with visualizations for MIS for project management, or similar work.
• Development of digital public infrastructure (DPI) stacks or similar work.
• Experience in use of latest AI tools and/or integrating new and legacy software will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in Tamil and English.
