Networking and Cyber security Engineer
Job Summary:
This job role involves designing, implementing and commissioiing and securing of control system
networks and peripheral devices associated with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and SCADA.
The role involves working on DCS and SCADA networking, third-party device integration, and
cybersecurity compliance to ensure reliable and secure plant operations.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
• Design and configure industrial network architecture for DCS/SCADA systems.
• Configure and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and VLANs.
• Integrate third-party devices such as Inverters, SCUs, protection relays, and SCADA
systems.
• Troubleshoot network and communication issues.
• Implement cybersecurity measures in compliance with IEC 62443, NERC CIP (where
applicable), and customer-specific cybersecurity policies to ensure secure and reliable
control system operations. Configure and manage industrial firewalls, access control
lists (ACLs), network zoning and segmentation, and secure remote access solutions
including VPN and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Configure and manage Industrial firewalls
• Support FAT, SAT, and site commissioning activities.
• Prepare and maintain network and cybersecurity documentation.
• Prepare Network architecture and Network connection diagrams
• Coordinate with customers, IT teams, and OEMs for smooth project execution.
Required Skill and competencies.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing).
• Experience with managed switches and industrial firewalls.
• Knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, IEC 61850, OPC, DNP3).
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443 preferred).
• Experience in DCS / PLC / SCADA environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis to identify potential security gaps
