Department Overview
We are building the infrastructure for Rakuten Life Insurance's services.
This is a crucial position that supports the foundation of Rakuten Life Insurance, using new technologies to prepare the necessary environment for applications to run, creating an environment where business divisions can work more easily, and improving Rakuten Life Insurance's services.
We will support the Infrastructure of Rakuten Life Insurance.
You will handle daily system operations for applications tightly integrated with insurance business processes, while collaborating with development teams across the Information Systems Division to gain a broad view of the company’s systems.

Position Details
You will primarily be responsible for serving as the Group Leader of the Operations Group at a Rakuten Group insurance company.
Group Management
You will oversee and manage the following teams within the operations group:
- Help Desk/Account Team
(Handling inquiries from business departments, access and privilege management, PC setup and provisioning, etc.)
- Release Management Team
(Planning and coordinating releases to production and other environments, etc.)
- Operations Team
(Batch and job management, release execution, incident response, and other production environment maintenance tasks)
- Data Processing Team
(Data extraction and update operations in the production environment)
Continuous Improvement and Issue Resolution
- Drive continuous improvement of team performance and operations by applying the PDCA cycle in daily activities.

The System Infrastructure Department consists of three groups: the Infrastructure Construction Group, the Operations Group, and the Network Management Group. You are slated to be assigned to System Operation Group.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in system operations and maintenance
- At least 5 years of experience in upstream phases of operations, including operations requirements definition, design, and implementation
- At least 5 years of experience in team or people management
- At least 5 years of experience as an in-house system engineer (internal IT)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in help desk and account support, including user inquiries and access management
- Development experience, with a solid understanding of SQL and related technologies
- Experience planning and driving production releases, including coordination and execution
- Work experience in a financial institution (e.g., banking, insurance, or securities)
