Business Overview
Commerce & Marketing Company Technology Supervisory Department (CMTSD) is responsible for the development and operation of E-commerce and marketing-related services within Rakuten Group. Our organization belongs to this department.
Department Overview
Tech Management Office (TMO) supports the business through its assigned Tech teams by effectively managing HR, Finance, and related services.
Our team (HR) is building strategic HR functions, including HRBP, CoE (Centers of Excellence), and Talent/Organizational Development. As part of this transformation, we have established a new HRBP position. The HRBP will support business/organizational leaders in achieving their goals by providing effective solutions based on thorough investigation and analysis of organizational challenges and problems.

Position Details
The role involves identifying challenges occurring within development sites and business units, and proposing solutions utilizing data analysis. This encompasses a wide range of areas, including workforce planning, recruitment strategy development, organizational and talent development, leadership development, and talent management.
As an HRBP, this position will drive problem-solving in collaboration with Group HR and other stakeholders.
Work Environment
Our organization consists of approximately 15 members, including HRBPs, Talent Acquisition Planners, and Organizational & Talent Development specialists, who mutually support each other. Many of our members are raising children, and we offer an environment that flexibly supports diverse work styles.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Proven in-house HR experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, demonstrating logical and critical thinking
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Business-level proficiency in English (TOEIC Score 800 or higher) and Japanese
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HRBP experience at global companies
- Team leadership experience
- Experience in HR consulting or HR-related development
- Experience in global HR policy design and implementation

A TOEIC Score of 800 or above (or equivalent level of English proficiency or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country).
Proof of qualifications will be required by the time of the job offer.
