Data Platform Engineer

Technical Skills Required

• Strong expertise in AWS services (S3, EMR, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, IAM, etc.)
• Expertise in Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg (or similar table formats like Delta Lake or Hudi)
• Deep understanding of data lake architectures, lakehouses, and modern data

stack principles

• Proficiency in SQL, Python or Scala for data engineering
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools, workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow,

Step Functions)

• Experience with data governance, cataloging (e.g., AWS Glue Catalog, Hive

Metastore)

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects
• Good understanding of data security, access management, and compliance
