Associate Data Analyst
The GWAM Chief Data Office in close partnership with key business stakeholders, GWAM Operations and will support the transformation of the organization to ensure data is leveraged as a strategic asset supporting our business goals. The group’s objectives include:
• Manage the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) as the single, central source for data which is easy to access and describes how the data was obtained
• Monitor EDL Data quality continually monitored and accuracy improved
• Ensure Common standards for EDL Data
• Enable flexible reporting tools to access data in the EDL, adapting to changing business or regulatory requirements.
Collaborating with the Director, Data Design and GWAM Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) Business Support team, the Associate Data Analyst, will be a key member of a team of data professionals responsible for delivering key critical initiatives and establishing the data quality program for Manulife GWAM. You will couple your data analysis experience with a solid understanding of the Investment Segment’s business and operations to implement the data strategy.
Position Responsibilities:
You will work with Global Wealth Asset Management Operational Business & Technical Support teams, GWAM Business Teams and the GWAM Chief Data Office to support the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) daily production activities to ensure data is available, reliable, consistent, accessible, secure, and timely through daily data issue identification, analysis and action planning.
You will partner with the GWAM Chief Data Office Data Governance and Data Analytics, support on-going EDL process improvements, including enhancements to GWAM operational capabilities, GWAM data quality monitoring and controls and GWAM meta data management tools such as the business glossary and data lineage.
Working with different GWAM teams to support EDL design and development for GWAM strategic initiatives.

Knowledge and experience with asset management systems and platforms such as trading/order management, portfolio accounting, client reporting, performance analytics and master data management
Technical Skills, such as knowledge of SQL required to perform data analysis
Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools is considered an asset
Required Qualifications:
1-5 years of relevant experience
SQL (data analysis): 1 years hands-on experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s in fields like Finance, Financial Engineering, Accounting, or Business (with concentrations in Investments, Analytics, or Information Systems).
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps): 1–2 years
Asset management systems/platforms (e.g., OMS/trading, portfolio accounting, client reporting, performance analytics, MDM): 2–5 years
Large, firm‑wide process management: 2–3 years

Salary range is expected to be between
$69,525.00 CAD - $115,875.00 CADEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
