We are searching for a Trust & Estates Paralegal in Los Angeles, CA. This role works closely with attorneys on estate planning, trust administration, probate matters, and related transactions in a collaborative environment with significant client interaction. This position is full-time and non-exempt. A hybrid schedule is available after 45 days of employment.

Duties:

  • Assist attorneys with estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters

  • Draft estate planning and trust funding documents

  • Prepare real estate transfer documents and assist with asset transfers and beneficiary changes

  • Assist with probate and trust litigation pleadings

  • Help prepare estate tax returns and organize supporting documentation

  • Assist with formation and maintenance of business entities, including LLCs and nonprofit corporations

  • Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and draft pleadings for attorney review

  • Maintain client files and ensure documents are properly organized and filed

  • Track estate planning deadlines, critical dates, and checklists

  • Participate in client meetings and conference calls and assist with meeting materials and notes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years of Trust & Estates experience in a law firm environment

  • Probate experience is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Westlaw, and Adobe Acrobat Pro

  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience supporting attorneys at depositions, mediations, and arbitrations

  • Experience with iManage or a similar document management system preferred

  • Notary commission is a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range is $130,000 +
