Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage the marketing of ABB’s offerings to targeted market segments and manage the offerings throughout their lifecycle, in line with market needs and division/product group/business line strategy and targets. Each day, you will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth of an offer. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting business results by overseeing each step involved in the offer lifecycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability.


The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-hybrid 

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division in South Korea.


You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading the tendering process for key MV/LV switchgear opportunities, including specification review, technical clarification, solution configuration, and commercial offer preparation.

  • Providing technical expertise to Sales teams, ensuring accurate sizing, product selection, compliance with customer requirements, and competitive pricing strategies.

  • Leading the market intelligence analysis and identifying potential gaps in the portfolio, with respect to the competition and new market opportunities.

  • Owning technical and market specification for the offer and determining an offering business plan that supports sustainable growth while leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, and following-up on portfolio performance.

  • Leading the offer lifecycle management process, analyzing current offers, defining, and tracking performance metrics, and making decisions on offer obsolescence and end-of life to ensure that current and future market requirements are met to maximize their profitability.

  • Setting targets, monitoring offering costs and giving inputs to operations functions (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to maximize competitiveness and profitability.



Qualifications for the role

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including experience in MV/LV switchgear or related electrical equipment within tendering, technical sales, product marketing, or product management.

  • Strong experience in MV/LV switchgear or related electrical equipment product marketing, tendering, technical sales, or product management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.

  • Solid technical knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, protection & control devices, circuit breakers, busbar systems, arc flash mitigation, digital monitoring, and related IEC standards.

  • Proficiency in marketing tools, CRM systems, and MS Office; SAP experience is a plus.

  • Business level proficiency in English and native level Korean fluency.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for coordination, customer meetings, or training (local/Overseas).
