Facility Operations Specialist Emirati Talent

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform various activities related to the maintenance and upkeep of facilities, buildings, grounds, and other related areas in accordance with agreed maintenance guidelines and procedures to increase the overall efficiency of the facility team. Each day, you will perform routine maintenance and repairs, including assisting with equipment and systems maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by managing inventory and supplies, handling waste management, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Provides support for Real Estate–related PRO services, coordinating with local authorities and municipalities (e.g. Dubai Land Department, Ejari, Civil Defense, municipalities, and utilities providers) as required for owned or leased properties.

Assists in the registration, renewal, and cancellation of tenancy contracts (Ejari or equivalent) in coordination with the Facility Manager and Real Estate stakeholders.

Supports processing and follow‑up of authority approvals, permits, and no‑objection certificates (NOCs) related to buildings, sites, fit‑out works, signage, landscaping, and minor alterations.

Coordinates Civil Defense documentation, including building compliance certificates, fire system approvals, and renewal of safety‑related permits in collaboration with HSE and Facilities teams.

Assists with property‑related licensing documentation, such as trade license linkage to premises, establishment cards, and location approvals (as applicable).

Supports the registration and management of utility services (e.g., electricity, water, district cooling, telecom) for facilities, including new connections, modifications, and account updates.

Liaises with landlords, property management companies, developers, and external PRO service providers to ensure timely completion of real estate–related government processes.

Maintains up‑to‑date records and trackers for tenancy contracts, authority approvals, compliance certificates, and property‑related documentation, ensuring renewals are completed on time.

Monitors expiry dates for leases, permits, and statutory property documents and proactively reports upcoming renewals to the Facility Manager.

Ensures all PRO and real estate government interactions comply with local regulations, ABB policies, safety standards, and code of conduct.

• Performing various tasks related to the maintenance, operation, and cleanliness of a facility.
• Conducting inspections to identify maintenance needs and taking appropriate actions.
• Carrying out building cleaning operations in accordance with ABB cleaning standards.
• Monitoring common areas, including parking and green areas, and ensuring proper maintenance, cleanliness, and adherence to established guidelines and standards.

Qualifications for the role

• 0-2 years of experience in a related field
• Diploma in real estate or business administration
• Strong communication skills
• Public relations experience
• You are at ease communicating in English
• Good team player
• Highly motivated individuals
