The Corporate Infrastructure Services Tools and Automation designs, builds and supports tooling, for the build, sustainment and monitoring of services in our corporate office estate. Our suite of tools range from automation tooling for site launch, network tooling, device mangement and monitoring as well as CRUD applications. We operate at a global scale achieving this through a blend of inhouse IAC solutions build on AWS technologies or leveraging Saas where appropriate. We are looking for a System Development Engineer to join in our mission to develop and support CIS services.

As a Systems Development Engineer, you will work with a team of talented engineers to evolve our current tooling suite and expand our services as we push the develop new solutions which address our scale and complexity. This role requires someone who can design as well as deliver solutions derived from AWS building blocks. You are someone who looks for autonomy to delivery solutions and components independently. You are able to discuss technical decisions and concepts across a broad range of audiences.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and build scalable system components for automation, observability, and SaaS integrations.
- Manage end-to-end solutions from initial design through to final delivery.
- Provide operational support for owned systems, including participation in the on-call rotation.
- Own component architecture and lead technical trade-off decisions.
- Resolve root causes of complex problems using cross-domain technical expertise.
- Automate and simplify development, testing, and operational workflows.
- Develop automation systems for deployment and hardware lifecycle management.
- Build and monitor AWS-native applications focused on corporate office space management.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with distributed systems at scale
