Job Description:

The Switchboard Operator is responsible for directing incoming phone calls and greeting visitors at the Weis Markets Store Support Center. This role uses the Mitel system to triage and route calls to the appropriate departments, manages visitor check‑ins through the Envoy platform, supports associates with basic HR‑related inquiries, and maintains relationships with direct‑bill hotel partners for business travel reservations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Answer and route incoming phone calls using switchboard software, directing customers, associates and vendors to the appropriate departments.
  • Assist with HR, Benefits, Payroll, inquiries, providing general guidance and directing to the appropriate support resources for resolution.
  • Greet and check in visitors to the Store Support Center using the Envoy system.
  • Manage relationships with designated direct‑bill hotel locations, serving as the primary point of contact and ensuring accurate rate, billing, and reservation information.
  • Coordinate business‑related hotel reservations for associates using approved direct‑bill hotels, ensuring timely, accurate bookings and appropriate documentation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus two (2) years of administrative, customer service, or call center experience in an office environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
