Position Responsibilities:
Ensure customers’ success in building and migrating infrastructure, software and services onto the AWS platform leveraging best practices and modern architectures. Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community. In partnership with the sales and business development teams, formulate and execute a strategy to drive successful customer outcomes worldwide for startups. Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects. Coach Solutions Architects in the skills needed to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions so they can transfer deep technical skills to customers who are considering or using AWS. Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community. Create and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, solutions, quickstarts, and other high-value customer facing content and best practice. Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support. Broadly engage with Amazon leadership to communicate, drive your vision, and work across the organization
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Employer will accept five years of experience in the job offered or related as equivalent to the Bachelor's degree and three years of experience. Must have three years of experience in the following skills: (1) designing, implementing, and consulting with distributed applications; (2) architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud environments or on-premises virtualized environments using C++, Perl, Python, or Java; (3) experience with database architecture, performance tuning, and either Big Data or Hadoop; and (4) experience as direct management, team lead, or project lead. Domestic travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
