Role: Servicenow Implementation Specialist

Location: Remote
Work timing: US EST Hours

About the Role

Were looking for a ServiceNow Implementation Specialist to lead end-to-end implementations across one or more ServiceNow products (e.g., ITSM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, SAM/HAM, SecOps). Youll partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, supportable solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). You will drive discovery, design, build, testing, integration, and golive, ensuring quality delivery on time and within scope.


Key Responsibilities


  • Project Delivery
  • Own the full implementation lifecycle: discovery, design, configuration, development oversight, testing, deployment, hypercare.
  • Facilitate workshops (process, requirements, and design) with business owners and technical teams.
  • Produce and maintain core delivery artifacts: current/future state process maps, user stories, solution design docs, data models, test plans, training materials, release notes.
  • Platform Configuration & Build
  • Configure ServiceNow applications: forms, flows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies/actions, notifications, catalog items, record producers, SLA definitions.
  • Leverage Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, ATF (Automated Test Framework), and Performance Analytics as applicable.
  • Guide or perform integrations (REST/SOAP, MID Server, OAuth, SSO/SAML, webhooks) and data migration activities.
  • Data & Model Governance
  • Align solutions to CSDM and maintain CMDB data quality (classes, relationships, discovery patterns, reconciliation).
  • Ensure access control (ACLs, roles, groups) and security/privacy requirements are met.
  • Process & Best Practices
  • Apply ITIL/ESM best practices across Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, CMDB, and beyond.
  • Standardize on outofthebox features where possible; minimize technical debt and customizations.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned workstreams; manage expectations, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate with PMs, architects, developers, QA, and business leads; support change management and training.
  • Quality & Operations
  • Drive UAT, defect triage, and readiness for golive; plan cutover and hypercare.
  • Hand off to operations with clear documentation, KT (knowledge transfer), and support models.

Required Qualifications

  • 37+ years delivering ServiceNow implementations (consulting or enterprise), including hands-on configuration.
  • Demonstrated experience with at least two ServiceNow products (e.g., ITSM + CSM, HRSD, SPM/PPM, SAM/HAM, SecOps, Discovery/Service Mapping).
  • Strong grasp of ITIL processes and practical application within ServiceNow.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow platform configuration and scripting (client/server JavaScript, Glide API), Flow Designer, data imports/transform maps, ACLs.
  • Experience running or contributing to Agile/Scrum delivery (user stories, backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos).
  • Excellent facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications (one or more):
  • ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) required/preferred depending on level
  • CIS (ITSM, CSM, HR, SAM, Discovery, CMDB, SPM, SecOps)
  • CAD (Certified Application Developer)
  • ITIL v3/v4 Foundation or higher
  • Experience with:
  • CSDM alignment and CMDB governance
  • Discovery, Service Mapping, and integration patterns
  • IntegrationHub spokes (e.g., Azure, Jira, Slack/MS Teams, SAP, Workday)
  • ATF, automated deployments (Update Sets/Scoped Apps), and instance cloning coordination
  • Reporting, Performance Analytics, Dashboards
  • Multiinstance environments and SDLC controls (Dev/Test/Prod)
  • Background in change enablement, training, and adoption strategies.
