Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Quality Assurance Specialist with proven manual and automation testing experience to join the team in Capital Markets. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of testing within the project to enable greater test coverage and faster delivery. The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist will engage with the Product/Project Team to identify testing requirements, plan/execute QA/QE activities and report/track defects. This role requires hands on experience in Testing areas to address all issues/queries that will allow the team to deliver their tasks in a timely manner. Capital Markets is a fast-paced environment with most projects following agile methodology. Expectations are high for quality delivery and QA forms an essential component of the delivery process. QA team are equal stakeholders in getting initiative delivered on time with quality

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Involve in both manual testing and automation using organization’s framework/tools and standards

• Work with team members (PM/Scrum Masters, Dev and Business Analysts) to understand objectives and map out testing activities

• Support all Manual testing activities and deliverables - Test Plan, Requirement analysis, Traceability, Test Design, Test Data management, Test Execution and Defect management

• Support all Automation testing activities and deliverables - Strategize, Design, Develop, Report and Maintain scripts

• Work closely with team on planning and performing different level of testing phases Functional, Regression, Integration

• Support UAT Testing based on Business need

• Support Production issue analysis and replication

• Support Production Implementation Releases as needed

• Create Knowledge, Support or Understanding documents as needed

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

 Must have:

• A relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a comparable field of study

• 10+ years of experience in Manual Testing

• 3+ years of experience in Test Automation

• Experience in Capital Markets, Banking or Finance

• Advanced knowledge of QA Processes, Testing Life Cycle, SDLC and Defect Management processes for application testing and support

• Experience in automations tools and frameworks like Robot Framework, Selenium, Python

• Hands-on experience in Automation using Python or Java

• Knowledge of Database and Query writing skills

• Knowledge of web services and API testing – SOAP, Postman

• Proficient in Test Management tools like JIRA, qTest

• Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in automation script integration in CI/CD pipeline

• Experience in Technical Upgrade projects

• Experience in Deployments – Linux, Helio

• Experience in ETL Testing
