What is the opportunity?  

The Wealth Management Online Digital Client Experience team is seeking a product manager to support the management and development of RBC Wealth Management’s online and mobile retail platforms.

As Product Manager you’ll help drive the day-to-day product development schedule from design through to release, own the product lifecycle, lead cross-functional teams, act as the central hub for support to various stakeholders, and define and monitor metrics that measure the success of the platforms. You’ll also work with Product Owners in defining the product roadmap, strategy and deliver clear requirements that Designers and Engineers will use to enhance these mission-critical platforms that serve as a digital extension of the advisor relationship and empowers clients to build and preserve their legacy.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate daily with a cross-functional team of designers, engineers, leaders, internal business and delivery partners, and other subject matter experts.
  • Refine and prioritize items in the Product Backlog to best align with program goals and timelines.
  • Execute on day-to day product management tasks including but not limited to requirement building, problem resolution, solution research, business analysis, supporting internal/vendor teams and addressing advisors’ inquiries.
  • Gather and utilize client analytics, supplemented with stakeholder feedback, to identify product gaps and challenges. Recommend solutions that ensures the digital experience extends the advisor experience and deepens the client engagement.
  • Measure platform success against KPIs and conduct metrics analysis to identify trends, growth opportunities, issues and areas for improvement.
  • Drive successful product adoption by partnering with Change Management to understand stakeholder impact, design effective communication and training programs, distinguish between product issues and change resistance, and measure success through both product metrics and organizational adoption readiness
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Risk teams throughout product development to ensure products meet regulatory requirements, protect client data, and manage enterprise risk.
  • Translate platform capabilities into compelling narratives for Advisors and Clients by identifying key benefits, developing use cases that demonstrate value, articulating competitive advantages, providing training and support, and gathering feedback to continuously refine positioning.

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:  

  • 3 to 5 years of Wealth Management Canada domain knowledge, particularly related to back office/operational processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and leverage partnerships with cross-functional and external stakeholders to drive execution on strategic roadmap.
  • Adaptable to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Strategic mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, or their equivalents.

Nice-to-have:  

  • Fintech experience.
  • Product launch experience.
  • Experience in technically complex or data-heavy products.
  • Team leadership.
  • Experience in Agile Project management framework.

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate’s experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$105,000- $155,000
