Chevron GBS is currently inviting online applications for the position Senior Payroll Specialist. Selected candidates will become integral members of the Finance team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Finance Analyst to support our global payroll and pension accounting processes. This role is ideal for a candidate with a solid understanding of financial reporting, audit compliance, and pension-related disclosures. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal finance teams, external suppliers in payroll and actuarial services, and corporate stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of payments and financial data and documentation.

Payroll and Pension Processing

  • Execute end-to-end payroll activities, including data validation, calculation of salaries, deductions, and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, labor regulations, and internal policies.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management and regulatory purposes.
  • In charge of payroll accounting process, ensuring all payroll transactions get properly posted in the system and any required adjustment is made correctly
  • Support quarterly and annual reconciliations, including SOX control reviews.
  • Interpret and validate actuarial reports from global consolidating actuaries for year-end reporting, segment entries, and remeasurement amounts.
  • Coordinate with different teams to collect and consolidate cashflow data, benefit payments, and asset values.

    Required Qualifications:
  •         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration.
    •           5+ years of experience in payroll or finance operations.
    •           Strong knowledge of payroll processes
    •           Advanced English communication skills. Candidates selected for an interview will be required to complete an English assessment test.
    •           Display initiative and leadership in handling multiple job responsibilities, setting priorities, maintaining a high level of accomplishment, and implementing process improvements
    •           Excellent problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail
    •           Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    •           Enjoy working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
