Summary:
Senior Liquidity Specialists coordinate the execution of the Commercial Liquidity Strategy at the sales level. Senior Specialist is the subject matter expert in Liquidity. Specialists uncover liquidity opportunities for the deal team (RMs/TMSAs) via DAO leads, financial statement reviews and being an active partner in segment and client review meetings; they also serve as a product-agnostic, central resource for RMs and TMSAs for questions and opportunities that arise regarding liquidity. Specialists lead the coordination of client liquidity review during a Deal Review when an opportunity is uncovered, ensuring that all options that meet client needs and objectives are considered and presented and assist in presentation preparation. Specialists remain a part of the Deal Team and drive the review of client Liquidity at the set cadence. To drive visibility and engagement, Specialists are active with their RM and TMSAs partners by regularly attending and presenting at segment meetings and by sharing information/insights/intelligence on Liquidity to their partners.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Client facing and responsible for the largest and most complex clients (Institutional Banking, Mid Corporate, Tech & Telecom, Franchise, etc.) Proactively source opportunities for Liquidity discussions via DAO tool, financial statement review and direct engagement with RM & TMSA partners.
- Serve as a product-agnostic, central resource for RMs and TMSAs for questions and opportunities that arise regarding liquidity. Align with a vertical that they become an expert in, so that they are familiar with trends and industry-specific considerations.
- Lead the coordination of client liquidity review during a Deal Review when an opportunity is uncovered, ensuring that all options that meet client needs and objectives are considered and presented and assist in presentation preparation.
- Remain a part of the Deal Team and drive the review of client Liquidity at the set cadence.
- Attends client meetings as SME, only when requested by Deal Team (when the determination is made that it would enhance the presentation).
- Responsible for influencing and shaping the strategy and implementation to align to best-in-industry practices; establish the best way to “market” or partner on an ongoing basis to their assigned verticals
- Proactively engage with their RM and TMSAs partners. Regularly attending
and presenting at segment meetings to (1) stay apprised of specifics to the LOB, client needs, trends and patterns, and (2) share information/insights/intelligence on Liquidity with the segment. - Engage with Deposit Management on exception pricing requests to ensure they are in line with client’s overall liquidity strategy.
- Helping to develop ongoing training, sales materials and communications as the need arises during the course of their engagement
- Communicate and help to construct what they need to be successful in engaging and training their assigned verticals
- Will act as a mentor to junior Specialists that we bring to the team
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience at an Institutional investment (or similar) experience at a large competitor and Series 7 & 63 Licenses (REQUIRED OR OBTAINED WITHIN 60 DAYS)
- Consultative sales experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of bank liquidity products (deposit and TM products)
- Understanding of Liquidity Spectrum and associated products
- General understanding of Commercial Bank client needs & solutions
