Senior Data Engineer

• As a Senior GCP Data Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data platforms and pipelines on Google Cloud
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enable reliable, high-quality data flows that support analytics, reporting, and business-critical applications
• This role requires strong technical depth, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to guide and influence teams in a dynamic environment

In this role, you will:

• Architect, build, and maintain large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines using modern data engineering frameworks
• Work extensively with GCP services such as BigQuery, GCS, Composer, IAM, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub
• Implement robust ETL/ELT solutions for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
• Optimize pipeline performance, troubleshoot distributed systems, and ensure platform reliability
• Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, security, data governance, and lifecycle management
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate progress, and manage risks or changes effectively
• Mentor junior engineers, remove blockers, and drive engineering excellence through technical leadership
• Contribute to InfraasCode (Terraform), CI/CD, and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency

Your Profile

• 6-10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering
• UG/PG in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Strong analytical thinking, quick understanding of requirements, and proactive decision-making
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with relational, NoSQL, and big data ecosystems
• Expertise in Python and distributed processing frameworks such as Spark or Beam
• Demonstrated experience building and optimizing complex data pipelines in cloud environments (GCP preferred)
• Strong understanding of data quality, security principles, and lifecycle management
• Hands-on experience with Git, Terraform, and Linux/Bash
• Proven leadership qualities with the ability to guide teams without micromanagement
• Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced industries such as Telecom (preferred)
