Senior Associate - Client Accounting
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Associate Client Accounting to manage end-to-end accounting and financial compliance for clients operating in the E-commerce ecosystem, including platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and other online marketplaces.
The role involves managing client financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance (GST & TDS), reconciling marketplace transactions, and maintaining strong client relationships by proactively addressing their financial and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Client Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage end-to-end accounting for client accounts including bookkeeping, ledger scrutiny, and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
- Ensure accuracy of revenue recognition, expense recording, and reconciliations.
- Review financial records to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
E-commerce Marketplace Accounting
- Handle accounting and reconciliation of transactions from Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and other marketplaces.
- Reconcile sales, returns, commissions, platform fees, and settlements from marketplace reports.
- Track and reconcile payment gateway settlements and marketplace payouts.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in marketplace financial reports.
Compliance & Statutory Filings
- Manage GST compliance including return preparation, reconciliation, and filing support.
- Handle TDS computation, reconciliation, and compliance as applicable to client accounts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Coordinate with internal compliance teams and auditors when required.
Client Relationship Management
- Act as a primary point of contact for assigned clients for accounting and financial matters.
- Understand client requirements and ensure timely resolution of financial and compliance queries.
- Maintain strong relationships to ensure high client satisfaction and retention.
- Provide proactive recommendations to improve financial processes and reporting.
Process & Documentation
- Maintain proper documentation of financial records, reconciliations, and compliance filings.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary financial data and reports.
- Contribute to improving accounting workflows and financial reporting efficiency.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with E-commerce marketplace accounting.
- Knowledge of GST and TDS compliance.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Excellent client management and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- CA Inter / CA / MBA Finance / B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with E-commerce brands or marketplace sellers.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, accounting software, and marketplace dashboards.
