Senior Application Specialist – Culinary Applications, Meat/Meat Alternatives

The position is based in Brabrand, Denmark, on-site. You will join a collaborative, curious, and solution-oriented Culinary Applications team, where knowledge sharing, experimentation, and customer impact are part of everyday work. Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Provide technical application support and customer visits across the EMEA region within Meat and Meat Alternatives
- Translate ingredient technology into customer-relevant, value-adding application solutions
- Design, execute, and follow up on application trials and projects, both internally and at customer sites
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across Applications, Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, and other internal stakeholders
- Develop new application concepts aligned with strategic objectives, market trends, and new product launches
- Prepare clear and structured technical documentation, reports, and trial summaries
- Train customers and internal colleagues in applications, processes, and product usage
- Support Research & Development activities, including contribution to innovation projects and patent-related work
- Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across IFF
- Please note: International travel of approximately 30–50 days per year across Europe and the AMETI region is part of this role.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Relevant educational background, preferably at M.Sc. level, combined with 5–10 years of experience in the food industry
- Solid industry experience within Meat and/or Meat Alternatives
- Strong technical knowledge of proteins and hydrocolloids
- In-depth understanding of food chemistry and nutrition
- Hands-on technical expertise combined with a customer- and business-oriented mindset
- Practical experience with manufacturing processes, pilot plants, and analytical techniques
- Self-driven and proactive, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion
- Structured and disciplined, ensuring trials are fully documented and knowledge is shared
- Comfortable interacting with, training, and presenting to customers and colleagues
