The FP&A team partners closely with senior leadership, Asset Management, Investments and other corporate functions to analyze financial performance, support strategic decision-making and provide transparent reporting across Ventas’s operating portfolios. The team plays a critical role in earnings preparation, forecasting, capital tracking and management reporting, with a particular focus on understanding key drivers of performance and risk across the enterprise.
About the Role
The Senior Analyst, FP&A plays a critical role in analyzing, understanding and communicating key drivers of financial performance across Ventas. This role supports both Corporate FP&A and the Outpatient Medical and Research portfolio, with responsibility for variance analysis, forecasting, capital expenditure tracking and management and external reporting. The Senior Analyst will partner closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex financial data into clear insights that inform strategic and investment decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
Support earnings preparation activities, including NOI growth analysis, earnings materials and Q&A support for the earnings call, as well as Monthly Business Reviews, investor relations requests and other management and external reporting
Analyze monthly and quarterly capital expenditure results as part of the financial review and earnings processes, including aggregation and reporting of forecast changes for future capital commitments across the entire enterprise
Partner with Asset Management teams on capital budgets and forecasts, including tracking actual spend versus plan and helping leadership understand key risks and opportunities relative to published guidance
Collaborate with Accounting, IT and other corporate functions to prepare accurate, timely information for reporting, forecasting and analytical purposes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or a related business field
3+ years of experience in financial analysis, public accounting, or a similarly rigorous analytical role, ideally within FP&A, real estate, or a capital-intensive operating environment
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into clear, executive-ready insights
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across functions and levels
Detail-oriented and process-focused, with a mindset toward continuous improvement and intellectual curiosity
Must be located in the Chicago, IL surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment
Willingness to adapt and thrive in a blended work environment with 3-days in office, seamlessly transitioning between remote work and in-office operations
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
The estimated base salary range for this position is $85,000 – $120,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base salary Ventas reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting. Actual base pay will be determined based on work location, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and business needs.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and other wellness benefits under applicable plan terms.
