Scrum Master (Freelance) - Bilingual

Are you a driven Scrum Master with a passion for team development, structure and strengthening agile ways of working?
We are looking for a Scrum Master to guide a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality applications and digital solutions within an innovative and fast-evolving IT landscape.

In this role, you are the engine behind a smooth, transparent and sustainable delivery process. You help the team grow, safeguard agile principles and support the organisation in its transition toward greater agility.

Your Responsibilities

1. Servant Leader

• Remove impediments to ensure the team can perform at its best.
• Proactively identify and manage dependencies, risks and obstacles.
• Create a safe environment where team members can communicate openly and learn from mistakes.

2. Facilitator & Process Guardian

• Organise and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Planning, Refinement, Review, Retrospective).
• Ensure the team adheres to agile principles and that processes are followed and optimised when needed.
• Support Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritisation and improving story quality.

3. Delivery Owner

• Monitor end-to-end progress and ensure efficient, high-quality delivery.
• Work closely with stakeholders to align expectations and maintain clear communication.

4. Coach & Motivator

• Guide the team in their professional growth and encourage a culture of feedback, openness and continuous improvement.
• Support the broader organisational agile transformation.
• Inspire, motivate and connect people during moments of discussion or change.

5. Communicator & Change Agent

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, management and other teams.
• Challenge processes constructively and help initiate meaningful improvements.
• Bring clarity and transparency in complex situations.

Languages

• Bilingual Dutch – French is essential; you can support teams and stakeholders fluently in both languages.
• Very good command of English.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in IT, Technology or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years as a Scrum Master.
• Experience in large organisations or complex IT environments is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of software development, testing and/or infrastructure management.
