Job Description
Manages and coordinates the activities for assigned Business Banking Underwriting department. Ensures quality service and effective support for all of the assigned internal and external customers. Accomplishes results through the effective management of staff that may range from lower level non-exempt through exempt level professionals. Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Conducts underwriting review process in a manner designed to minimize the bank’s risk while employing problem resolution techniques in approving loans. Provides support and training for all staff, including underwriting guidelines for underwriting staff.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically eight to 10 years of related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Expert level of knowledge in SBA portfolio management, including 504 and 7a loans, covenant monitoring and testing, problem credit management and servicing actions
- Familiarity with navigation of current versions of SOP 50.10 and 50.57
- Ability to multi-task and successfully manage multiple competing priorities.
- Five or more years direct management experience, specifically leading teams of 5+ employees
- Advanced nCino skills, especially the ability to create targeted reports
- Proficiency in AFS, Hogan, and Fusion a plus

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $124,355.00 - $146,300.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
