Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, Strat’s to risk management.
Primary Responsibilities
The candidate will be based out of Mumbai and will be primarily working with the Convertible Bonds Sales and Trading desk (HongKong). The role suits a self-motivated, highly energetic individual who has a strong background in Financial Market, Analytics. The role offers great opportunity to the candidates to build on their knowledge of and exposure to Equity Derivative products, risks as well as valuation.
The role also offers a unique opportunity of exposure into financial analysis across varied industries/sector combined with working on trading related activities for the desk.
Responsibilities for this role would involve:
- Booking and Monitoring HT Chats, Liaising with Multiple Internal Teams
- Trade Life Cycle Queries and Management along with Sales Booking Reconciliation
- Client onboarding activities
- Demonstrate working knowledge of QIB norms, ISDA documentation, 144A and Reg S requirements.
- Oversee primary deal workflows and Operational holdings
- Address and resolve ad‑hoc compliance‑related queries.
- Dispatch GU notifications to brokers and follow up to ensure completion.
- Adhoc Queries
Office Timings: 08 AM – 05 PM IST (Flexible)
Skills required (essential)
- Graduates with MBAs and/or CFA (preferred but not must)
- 2-6 years’ work experience in Banking/Financial Services in Trading Support
- Coursework/Strong understanding in Finance Market, (Convertible Bonds Knowledge Preferred)
- Good communication skills – written as well as telephonic. There will be regular communication with the trading desk and the person needs to be able to understand the requirements and express their thoughts clearly.
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office products – Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Python (Preferable)
In addition, the candidate should have theoretical or practical understanding of - Options and their behavior over time
- Basic options trading strategies
- General behavior of Equity Derivatives markets – Flow and Structured Products
