Research and Development (R&D) Technician - 1st Shift

What You Will Do

  • Maintain and operate laboratory areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and audit readiness at all times
  • Enforce and model safe laboratory practices for all team members, fostering a culture of safety and compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing ways to enhance lab efficiency and expand service capabilities
  • Oversee and perform maintenance and repairs for all lab equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime
  • Manage equipment calibration by tracking schedules, submitting equipment for calibration, and maintaining accurate records
  • Assemble and develop test fixtures, contributing to fixture design and executing verification and validation processes
  • Execute development and verification testing with high attention to detail, following protocols and accurately documenting results
  • Coordinate with offsite labs and communicate test data clearly to engineering teams, ensuring seamless project execution

What You Will Need

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to lift and move 25–40 pounds and stand for extended periods

Preferred

  • 2 or more years of relevant technical experience in a regulated lab environment with increasing responsibility or completion of a 2-year Associate’s or Technical Degree in an engineering-related discipline
  • Experience with tools, fixtures, instruments, and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Experience interpreting test protocols, technical manuals, and supplier agreements
  • Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting and maintaining lab equipment
  • Experience managing engineering labs and operating hand/power tools and sensitive test equipment

$ 28.06-37.96 per hour plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 10%
