Repair Calibration Technician II

The Repair Calibration Technician II is responsible for the in-house testing, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of Evident Instrumentation used in laboratory, manufacturing and other environments.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform in-house testing, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of portable Phase Array, Ultrasonic and Eddy Current Array, Evident Instrumentation.

  • Ensure timely, professional, and effective response to customer service needs to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Responsible for analyzing results, and maintenance of logs and required documentation.

  • Prepare technical reports and Quality Control data for each unit’s record.

  • Must be able to read and comprehend standard Engineering documentation, such as, schematics, BOM’s, test procedures, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.

  • Must be able to effectively use the following electronic test equipment and software: Oscilloscope, Function generator, multi-meter and PC diagnostic tools.

  • Follow detailed repair, calibration, and administration procedures for Evident products with excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task numerous customer repairs through to completion.

  • Excel in fast paced environment, ability to multi-task and work / meet shipping deadlines.

  • Record all pertinent repair activities with appropriate detail in the business CRM systems.

  • Prepare technical reports and Quality Control data for service events as required.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

EDUCATION:

  • HS Degree and associate degree in Electronics or equivalent.

  • Military or Technical School is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in a calibration and repair facility is strongly desired.

  • Experience in technical after sales service environment/organization field service would be highly desired.

  • 3+ years of experience repairing instruments and/or electronic devices.

  • Experience in the diagnosis and repair both board level and component level electronics.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to follow detailed calibration procedures.

  • Ability to read and understand electronic schematic drawings.

Pay Range: $26.00 - $28.00/hour a year plus bonus.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $26.00 - $28.00/hour. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
