Within our department you will work on a Tier 1 application which directly works with Airlines and Customs around the globe.

Summary of the role:

We are looking for a Techno‑Functional Software Engineer to strengthen two critical pillars of the Travel Data Capabilities ecosystem:

• P2C (Path to Customs) – Documentation, procedures, and ensuring rules, data flows, and au-tomation are fully supported

• Publisher (PUB / OBE) – delivering next‑generation event publishing capabilities for billing, data distribution, and compliance.

The ideal candidate combines solid engineering skills (testing automation, DevOps) with strong functional understanding of flows, business context, and operational behaviours.

This is a key role, with possibility of evolution, whilst working on securing high‑quality, reliable, and scalable data flows across the Amadeus chain.

In this role you’ll:

• Analyse P2C and Publisher, transformations, and dependencies.

• Translate requirements into functional designs, automation workflows, and specifications.

• Understand the impact of data quality, evolutions, and event distribution on downstream billing processes.

• Work closely with Product, Finance, and Operations to align technical design with business outcomes.

• Support data governance requirements.

• Develop, and maintain QA scripts and processing pipelines.

• Contribute to Publisher OBE engineering

• Implement automated testing frameworks (functional, integration, load).

• Maintain and enhance observability: logs, metrics, dashboards, alerting.

• Support modernization efforts (cloud‑ready patterns, decoupling, refactoring).

• Build CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and quality gates.

• Implement automation to reduce manual effort in P2C operations (self‑healing, validation, monitoring).

• Participate in the on‑call rotation and contribute to incident analysis.

• Work with SRE to ensure resilience and operational stability.

About the ideal candidate:

•   You are a hybrid engineer with numerous years of experience (6+) —equally comfortable discussing data flows and business rules as you are reviewing logs or improving a CI/CD pipeline.

• You thrive at the intersection of functional analysis and technical engineering, and you enjoy owning solutions end-to-end.

• You can translate business needs into robust designs, ensure data quality across complex journeys, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Product, Finance, Operations, and Engineering.

• You bring curiosity, accountability, and a passion for building high-quality, scalable and observable systems.

• Experience with large-scale projects with a leadership position will make you successful in this role, as well as a genuine interest in understanding how Amadeus’ travel ecosystem operates.

• You are a team player who communicates clearly, acts with ownership, and continuously looks for ways to improve processes, resilience, and customer outcomes.
