DESCRIPTION
Perception Algorithm Engineer is responsible for the research and development of perception algorithms related to autonomous driving, including but not limited to driving and parking scenarios. The role focuses on BEV (Bird’s-Eye-View)–based environment perception, multi-camera fusion, free-space detection, parking-slot recognition, and obstacle perception algorithm design and optimization. The engineer will also participate in the deployment and performance validation of perception models on embedded platforms, ensuring stability, accuracy, and efficiency for mass-production applications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Programming background, including but not limited to Python, C/C++.
Understanding of common programming knowledge:
- Used common IDEs, including but not limited to Pycharm, visual studio, etc
Design and implement BEV-based perception algorithms for parking and low-speed driving scenarios.
Develop and optimize deep-learning models for parking slot detection, free-space segmentation, and obstacle recognition.
Build and maintain perception data pipelines, including data collection, preprocessing, labeling, augmentation, and evaluation.
Work closely with simulation and validation teams to integrate perception outputs into world-model and planning modules.
Participate in perception algorithm benchmarking, ablation analysis, and field testing.
Contribute to technical documentation and support cross-functional communication with software and hardware teams.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS:
Solid experience in computer vision and deep learning; familiar with CNN-based perception and BEV transformation pipelines (LSS, BEVDepth, BEVDet, etc.).
Proficiency in Python/C++, and hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Familiar with parking perception datasets and evaluation metrics (IoU, Dice, NDS, etc.).
Familiar with LLM, VLM, WM and VLA principles; prior project experience in these areas is a plus.
Understanding of camera calibration, sensor fusion, and 3D geometric transformations.
Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and collaboration.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, mechatronics, automotive, statistics, mathematics or equivalent.
REQUIRED COMPUTER SKILLS
Strong Professional experience in C/C++, Python.
Develop experience with working Linux/Ubuntu.
Advanced skills in data analysis libraries, tools and methods.
LANGUAGE KNOWLEDGE
Proficiency in English is better (speaking & writing).
METHODOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE
Working knowledge in planned and structured approach.
Working knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
