Operator, Lease

New Town, ND - Field Office April 9, 2026 Full Time Workday

The Lease Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of a specific, assigned group of wells. This individual will monitor daily production, equipment and performance to ensure proper volumes are attained and maintained. This position will be based out of Robinson Lake, ND. The schedule for this position is 8 days on, 6 days off. Wage and level commensurate with experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Measures and records production at the well site

  • Provides routine maintenance checks to equipment and machinery

  • Conducts routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment and machinery

  • Reports changes in individual well performance

  • Reports any concerns about the well, well site or equipment

  • Effectively communicates with production foreman and superintendents on operating issues or problems

  • Coordinates oil sales and water disposal

  • Treats oil to meet pipeline/equipment specifications

  • Assures operational compliance with governmental requirements and company policies

  • Must be familiar with the operation of POCs, rod pumps and flowing wells

  • Drives safely to and from wells and well sites

  • Must understand and perform all duties according to Company standard operating procedures and in compliance within all regulatory and EH&S guidelines

  • Possess and maintain HAZWOPER certification

  • Complete required H2S training

  • All other duties as assigned or based off business need

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Must be at least 21 years old for Company motor vehicle insurance

  • Must live within 75-mile radius of Robinson Lake, ND

  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    • Able to handle exposure to extreme weather conditions and areas where hazardous chemicals are present

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit and walk extensively

    • Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical, and to be able to meet all physical requirements of the job

Preferred Qualifications

  • Petroleum Production Certificate or similar education

  • 1 year related experience

  • 1 year oil and gas experience
