Operations Performance & Data Specialist
How will you make a difference?
As an Operations Performance & Data Specialist you will responsible to ensure operational reliability and customer delivery by consolidating data, monitoring KPIs, and coordinating cross-functional actions. You will act as a key interface between central functions and operational sites, driving performance visibility and supporting issue resolution, particularly in scenarios involving supplier delivery disruptions.
What will your typical day look like?
- Consolidate and validate operational data across multiple Wabtec sites, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
- Develop and maintain standardized reporting tools and dashboards (primarily in Excel) to monitor operational performance
- Track, analyze, and follow up on key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment with business targets
- Lead regular performance reviews with operational sites, ensuring accountability and timely execution of action plans
- Prepare high-quality presentations for senior stakeholders, translating complex data into clear insights and recommendations
- Act as a central coordination point to support sites in resolving supplier-related delivery issues impacting customer commitments
- Drive structured follow-up on critical operational topics, ensuring risks and deviations are proactively managed
- Identify performance gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives across the network
- Foster effective communication between operations, supply chain, procurement, and other relevant functions
What do we want to know about you?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in operations, performance management, or data analysis within an industrial or transportation environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis tools)
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights
- Experience in KPI management and performance governance in a multi-site environment
- Proven ability to prepare and deliver executive-level presentations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions
- Professional proficiency in English (and local language)
- High level of autonomy, ownership, and attention to detail
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrix organization
- Availability to travel occasionally
