Operations Coordinator, Processing Facilities
GFL Ottawa is looking for an operations coordinator to support our liquid waste processing facility!
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the waste database is up-to-date with actual waste in inventory
- Plan and oversee all necessary processing onsite waste in preparation for shipment
- Create and monitor waste handling requests
- Plan, label, and schedule outbound loads with receivers
- Create Work Orders and CSA lines in OMS for outbound waste.
- Produce weekly oil reports
- Assist with MHSW program submissions
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in office administration, experience in transportation or waste management industry setting would be an asset;
- Knowledge of Regulation 347: General – Waste Management and Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations
- Minimum intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
- Effective verbal and written communicator;
- Ability to prioritize work activities and use time efficiently
- Ability to manage change, delays, or unexpected events and work in an environment with constant change
- Strong initiative and personal drive to complete tasks with limited oversight
- Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be detail oriented and results oriented;
- Ability to design and execute work & project plans;
- A professional, courteous and welcoming manner – both in person and on the telephone
