National Key Account Manager
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key national accounts at the CXO level.
- Create detailed plans for each key account, focusing on long-term growth and profitability.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets set for designated national key accounts.
- Identify opportunities to sell additional products or services to existing clients.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts for accounts under management.
- Negotiate contracts and manage pricing strategies.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by meeting client needs and expectations.
- Follow the National Key Account module, dashboard, and execute account plans to achieve KPIs.
- Forecast sales and provide regular reports on account performance, sales activities, and opportunities to senior management.
- Monitor market trends and competitors, develop tailored solutions for clients, and collect feedback to improve products.
- Address and resolve any issues or challenges faced by clients, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
- Proactively identify potential issues or risks to account health and manage solutions.
- Ensure accounts are managed profitably, balancing customer satisfaction with strong margins.
- Oversee budgets for key accounts and track expenses to maintain profitability.
- Seek out new national account opportunities and bring in new business to expand the company's presence in the market.
- Lead the creation of proposals and presentations to win new business from strategic accounts, and periodically lead EBRs (Executive Business Reviews) with CXO of key account organizations.
- Work with customer service teams to ensure seamless delivery of products or services and provide ongoing support after sales.
- Regularly travel to meet clients in person, fostering strong relationships through face-to-face interaction.
Job Requirements
- Any graduate/post-graduate degree, preferably in Science.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in key account management or sales, preferably at a regional level.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large accounts and driving revenue growth.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze and act on data.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools.
- Industry knowledge and understanding of market trends relevant to the accounts managed.
- Leadership capacity to lead internal teams, including sales and support staff, to deliver on account goals.
- Educational qualification: Any graduate/post-graduate degree, preferably in Science.
