Material Expeditor (MEP) - Semiconductor Projects

We are seeking an experienced Material Expeditor - MEP with a strong background in semiconductor facility projects.

The ideal candidate will have 12 years of experience in expediting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing materials for large-scale industrial and high-tech projects. This role involves ensuring timely delivery of materials, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, and maintaining compliance with quality and project timelines.

Responsibilities:

Material Expediting:

• Track and monitor material delivery schedules for MEP packages.
• Monitor material movement from vendors to site and resolve delays proactively.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for priority handling of critical items.

Vendor Coordination:

• Liaise with suppliers to ensure adherence to delivery commitments.
• Address vendor-related issues and escalate delays to management.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers for timely resolution of challenges.

Documentation Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of material status and prepare expediting reports.
• Prepare daily/weekly expediting reports for project management and stakeholders.
• Ensure proper documentation for material approvals and certifications..

Compliance Quality Assurance:

• Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections and certifications as required.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and semiconductor industry norms.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Act as the interface between procurement, engineering, and construction teams.
• Provide timely updates on material status to project managers and clients.
• Assist in resolving material-related risks and propose mitigation strategies.

• B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with relevant certifications in Material Management.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in material expediting for large-scale industrial projects.
• Must have experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing facility projects.
• Proven track record in managing material flow for EPC/PMC assignments.
• Expertise in material tracking, vendor coordination, and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, SAP, and other material management tools.
• Knowledge of MEP material specifications and standards for semiconductor projects
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Supply Chain Management / Material Management.
• Experience with cleanroom and high-tech facility material requirements.
• Familiarity with international procurement practices and vendor qualification processes.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
