Our Marsh Ireland Graduate Programme provides broad exposure and hands-on experience, helping you develop a versatile skill set and deep expertise in your chosen field. You’ll work alongside talented professionals and be empowered to identify and seize opportunities across Marsh Ireland.

We will be hiring graduates across our practices of Corporate/Commercial/FoodAgri/Specialties/RMP/Sales to be based at any of our nationwide offices of Dublin, Cork or Galway.

Graduates will be part of a 2- year structured development programme that includes:

1. Core Area of Expertise (e.g. Marsh Risk - please read further below)

2. Learning and Professional Development opportunities and

3. Online learning from the European Early Careers Curriculum.

The programme will offer continuous opportunities to engage and network within the Irish and European curriculum.

This role will enable you to learn and grow as you take on responsibility for the day to day professional management and servicing of all aspects of client’s insurance portfolios. You will also assist Client Executives and Managers, providing essential client support within the team.

We will rely on you to:

  • Collaborate with Clients and Client Executives to deliver the best technical advice and service, drawing on your own knowledge and the expertise of your colleagues.
  • Play an active role in supporting insurance renewals, re-marketing efforts, and finalising insurance placements, gaining hands on experience in key industry processes.
  • Provide responsive, day-to-day client support by promptly handling enquiries, invoicing, issuing cover notes, endorsements, and summaries - all within agreed timelines.
  • Build and nurture strong working relationships with colleagues, insurance companies and their teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Uphold and adhere to compliance procedures and policies, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of insurance cover placements in line with client instructions, contributing directly to client satisfaction.
  • Support your Team Manager with projects and other initiatives, gaining exposure to broader business activities and developing your project management skills.
  • Assist in identifying and engaging potential clients, understanding their insurance needs, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior development executives to support the new business process, by preparing proposals, presentations and reports.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities and competitive analysis to support growth strategies.

What you will need to have:

  • Recent graduate from university
  • Interested in a career within Insurance and Risk Management
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines with guidance and support
  • Ability to understand and implement insurance products and technical knowledge in a timely manner 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain clear lines of communication with various internal and external stakeholders 
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to review work of self and others 
  • Flexible and team player – develops close partnerships with onshore and offshore colleagues 
  • Ability to identify areas to improve efficiency, accuracy and analysis and suggest ways of improvement
  • Excellent IT Skills (including Excel and Word)
