OVERVIEW
Mastercard has an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing expert to join our team as Manager, Consumer Marketing & Sponsorships. The successful candidate will lead the planning, execution and measurement of high impact marketing and sponsorship programs that advance global and regional priorities and accelerate business growth in Canada. The role reports to Vice President, Consumer Marketing & Sponsorships, and operates as a core part of the Canada Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) team.
The position plays a key role in developing and executing both short and long term strategic marketing plans, while managing Canada market opportunities across major global and regional sponsorships. The successful candidate will support the growth of the Canada business by working closely with Product, Services, and Sales teams—leveraging sponsorship assets to unlock partner opportunities, supporting new business RFPs to drive pipeline growth and strengthening product value propositions. They will be also responsible for identifying consumer insights, distill priorities, and collaborate closely with partners in Global and Americas Integrated Marketing & Communications.
THE ROLE
• Lead the development of communication briefs, objectives, and campaign analysis and optimization, informed by research, industry trends, and best practices
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of advertising and marketing campaigns, with a strong digital focus and the ability to execute effectively across search, broadcast, print, and other above-the-line channels
• Manage Canada market opportunities for some of the key global and regional sponsorships by unlocking maximum value in support of B2C, B2B2C, and B2B objectives
• Champion the Mastercard brand, ensuring all consumer initiatives align with brand personality, visual identity, and core values
• Own KPI and measurement planning across the Consumer & Sponsorship Marketing team to ensure clear, consistent success metrics, high quality delivery, and robust reporting across all campaigns
• Advance the Consumer Marketing innovation agenda in Canada by leveraging new and emerging technologies and capabilities, with the focus on AI, to drive marketing impact
• Oversee the community management function for Mastercard Canada owned social media platforms, related processes and ongoing evolution
• Manage financial processes for the Consumer Marketing & Sponsorships team, including day-to-day budget management, PO issuance and process compliance
• Serve as the Consumer Marketing’s SMB segment lead, providing always-on marketing support across relevant opportunities
• Collaborate cross-functionally across IMC— with Communications and B2B teams—as well as with other internal stakeholders and multiple agency partners (brand, media, digital, events, and sponsorship) to deliver fully integrated, effective, and efficient marketing communications in a fast paced environment.
• Support the annual planning process through strategic input and close partnership with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and Americas counterparts

• Exceptional project management and organizational skills with a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to planning and execution
• Experience leading and managing agency partners, including negotiation, to drive business results and efficiencies
• Experience working with high profile sponsorship partnerships is an asset
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and clear points of view
• Strong analytical and financial acumen, able to distill insights and translate them into actionable recommendations
• Comfortable managing senior stakeholders and audiences

Toronto, Canada: $109,000 - $158,000 CAD
