Maintenance Technician
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Perform all mechanical operations required to maintain plant processes through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of machines. If experience permits, this person will assist with electrical and automation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot skills in industrial, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical failures and the aptitude to correct those failures. Work closely with contractors to maintain and improve process equipment.
• Coordinate, install and troubleshoot existing and new equipment – this may include electrical and electronic support systems
• Monitor Inventory of parts and Equipment, contact appropriate vendors and processes paperwork when necessary
• Maintain a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity
• Candidates must demonstrate technical experience, reliability and the ability to work independently. They must be willing to work alternative shifts, weekends and will have overtime opportunities.
• Completed Industrial Maintenance Trade School program or have equivalent experience
• Courses should include mechanical drawing, electricity, blueprint reading, science, mathematics, and computer skills.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC’s, sensors, instrumentation, and other electronics.
Preferable skills not required for application:
• Background in either Electrical Construction/Journeyman Electrician, or Automation and Controls Experience
• Proficient with computer software, such as Microsoft Products, Factory Talk, Allen Bradley
• Troubleshoot PLC problems, modify PLC programs as necessary, design and program new control systems, and modify, install, and upgrade various plant floor electrical and mechanical systems
