Lead - Corporate Communication
Role Purpose
The role will serve as the strategic custodian of IPE Globals brand, reputation, and institutional voice globally.
This leadership role goes beyond communication execution - it requires building trust, corporate profiling, thought leadership positioning, strengthening global positioning, supporting business growth, managing reputation risk, and ensuring communication becomes a measurable strategic asset to the organisation.
Strategic Mandate
The incumbent will:
- Define and implement a long-term communication vision aligned with organisational growth strategy.
- Strengthen IPE Globals global brand architecture and reputation equity.
- Position the organisation as a thought leader in development consulting.
- Integrate communication as a core enabler of business development and stakeholder confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Brand Institutional Positioning
- Develop and institutionalise a cohesive brand positioning and messaging framework.
- Ensure consistency across geographies, practices, and digital platforms.
- Lead brand governance, periodic audits, and perception tracking.
- Strengthen employer brand and institutional credibility.
Reputation Management Thought Leadership
- Design executive visibility platforms for leadership across media, conferences, and policy forums.
- Lead award nominations, rankings, and recognitions nationally and globally.
- Oversee whitepapers, policy briefs, impact reports, podcasts, and strategic publications.
- Develop crisis communication frameworks and response protocols.
Media PR
- Build and nurture relationships with national and international media.
- Oversee press releases, interviews, op-eds, and corporate announcements.
- Build organisation credibility through Awards
- Lead issue management and sensitive stakeholder communication.
Digital Content Strategy
- Own Corporate website and social media platforms
- Own periodically update corporate products brochures, flyers, newsletters etc.
- Drive a digital-first strategy across website, LinkedIn, X, and emerging platforms.
- Oversee content development including multimedia storytelling, impact films, newsletters, and annual reports.
- Use analytics dashboards to measure engagement, reach, and impact.
Internal Communication
- Strengthen internal communication architecture to align employees with vision and strategy.
- Develop leadership communication frameworks.
- Drive digital people engagement campaigns, internal newsletters etc.
Budgeting
- Develop and manage the annual Corporate Communication budget aligned with strategic priorities.
- Allocate resources across media, digital campaigns, events, publications, branding, and agency partnerships.
- Ensure cost optimisation while maintaining premium brand standards.
- Monitor expenditure against budget through quarterly reviews and financial dashboards.
- Evaluate ROI on campaigns, digital investments, sponsorships, and partnerships.
- Support with vendor negotiations and contract management for agencies, creative partners, and media platforms.
Leadership Mentoring
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing communication team.
- Establish SOPs, quality assurance frameworks, and measurable KPIs.
- Report periodically to senior leadership and Board stakeholders on brand performance and financial utilisation.
Qualifications Experience
- Masters degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related discipline.
- 10-12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communication leadership.
- Experience in consulting, development sector, public policy, or professional services preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing significant communication budgets.
- Proven expertise in crisis communication and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong digital and analytics orientation.
