Purpose of the role
The Instructional Developer is responsible for creating, curating, and optimizing learning content and knowledge. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, instructional design, and creativity to develop engaging and effective learning content and knowledge. The Instructional Developer will work closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the content meets the needs of the target audience. The role also involves ensuring that all learning content and knowledge are of high quality, accurate, and up-to-date, and exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance the learning experience and improve content delivery.
In this role you'll:
Content Development: Produce and develop learning content for online solutions such as videos, e-learning, and practices. Ensure that the content is relevant, accurate, and aligned with the organization's content and knowledge strategy
Collaboration: Work closely with Instructional Designers and subject matter experts to develop learning solutions that meet requesters' requirements. Collaborate with Instructional Designers teams to address customer feedback and with the Learning Innovation and Framework team to identify potential enhancements to the design, development, and delivery of learning solutions
Quality Assurance: Review and maintain online materials to ensure content is up-to-date and accurate, as well as compliant with branding standards and templates
Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in AI and instructional design and development. Explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance the learning experience and improve content delivery.
About the ideal candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design/Development, Educational Technology or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in the travel industry, having worked as a travel agent, trainer, or in a similar role, as well as vocational training in Tourism.
Strong functional skills and training experience will be considered in lieu of formal education degree
Experience in content development and using development software ( i.e Storyline and Camtasia)
Proven experience with AI tools and technologies in the context of e-learning and content creation.
Knowledge of the latest trends and updates in the technology-enabled learning environment.
Familiarity with Content Management Systems and Learning Management Systems
Customer-centric, services-oriented individual.
Able to think creatively to identify improvement opportunities.
Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design and Adult Learning Theory is a plus
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Able to leverage personal knowledge and experience to contribute to internal projects.
Able to manage time and effort to optimize efficiency.
Able to share and receive feedback in a proactive and constructive manner.
Able to generate new ideas.
Embraces change management.
Able to build open, honest, and collaborative working relationships in a global organization.
Is self-aware and proactively develops skills needed to be successful in different situations/projects/activities.
Communication - excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Write clear and well-structuted project documentation and storyboards.
Open to work in a hybrid set-up.
