About the Role:
As the Implementation Team Lead at UptimeAI, you will be responsible for leading and scaling a team of highly skilled Implementation Engineers who are central to the delivery of our AI-powered solution.
You’ll serve as the operational and technical anchor for the team—owning resourcing, quality oversight, coaching, and coordination with project managers and technical consultants to ensure models are delivered with precision, speed, and impact. Your leadership will directly influence time-to-value, customer satisfaction, and the scalability of our implementation processes.
What You'll Do:
Team Leadership & People Management
Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of ~10 Implementation Engineers.
Lead regular check-ins, performance reviews, and mentoring sessions.
Set clear goals, expectations, and KPIs for quality, productivity, and ownership.
Operational Oversight
Assign and track engineering tasks based on project timelines, skillsets, and workload balancing.
Ensure all model-building activities meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.
Monitor project progress and intervene proactively to resolve roadblocks or resource gaps.
Technical & Delivery Alignment
Partner with Project Managers and Technical Consultants to translate technical requirements into structured deliverables.
Review and approve key deliverables before customer-facing deployment.
Guide the team in handling edge cases, model deployment issues, and validation workflows.
Process & Quality Improvement
Establish and continuously refine implementation processes and documentation standards.
Identify opportunities to automate tasks and improve delivery speed.
Serve as a bridge between the engineering team and product to suggest platform or workflow enhancements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate closely with the Technical Consulting, Project Management, and Product teams to align on delivery timelines and priorities.
Represent the Implementation function in internal meetings and customer escalations when needed.
Who You Are:
6+ years of experience in implementation, data engineering, process optimization, or related technical delivery roles.
2+ years of experience leading or managing engineering or implementation teams.
Strong working knowledge of industrial processes and model deployment best practices.
Proven ability to build scalable systems and improve operational workflows.
Comfortable managing distributed teams and working across time zones.
Strong organizational and communication skills; able to balance speed with quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience with OT systems (e.g., DCS, historians), process data, and industrial environments.
Familiarity with AI/ML model lifecycle or predictive maintenance use cases.
Exposure to tools like ClickUp or project/engineering workflow software.
