Job Description: HIH – Agile Product Management Manager
Position Overview
The Agile Product Management Manager leads and manages a team of Product Managers/Advisors responsible for translating business vision into scalable, high-quality product outcomes. This role is accountable for people leadership, portfolio delivery, and product health across one or more business capabilities within the Pharmacy PBS area.
The Manager partners closely with Business, Architecture, Engineering, and Executive stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment, predictable delivery, and continuous improvement. Unlike an individual contributor role, this position focuses on team effectiveness, roadmap execution, and organizational impact rather than hands-on story writing alone.
Key Responsibilities
People & Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Agile Product Managers / Advisors
- Establish clear role expectations, performance goals, and development plans for team members
- Provide regular feedback, mentoring, and career guidance to build strong product talent
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team
Product & Portfolio Ownership
- Own one or more product portfolios or capability areas, accountable for value delivery, product health, and long-term roadmap
- Ensure consistent and high-quality product management practices across the team
- Guide teams in decomposing business vision and process flows into MVPs, Epics, and Features
- Balance delivery of new capabilities with non-functional requirements and technical debt reduction
- Advocate for product investments using value, cost-of-ownership, and risk-based data
Delivery & Execution Governance
- Oversee backlog health, prioritization, and readiness across multiple teams
- Ensure effective sprint planning, refinement, and release execution
- Proactively manage cross-team dependencies and risks
- Ensure teams deliver outcomes on-time and on-budget, with predictable velocity
- Track and review delivery metrics (throughput, WIP, aging, predictability) and take corrective actions
Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement
- Act as the primary escalation point for product-related risks, delivery concerns, and prioritization conflicts
- Partner with Business, BAT, Architecture, and Engineering leadership to align on strategy and execution
- Communicate product plans, risks, milestones, and outcomes to senior leadership
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and establish a shared understanding of product vision and priorities
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Drive adoption and maturity of Agile and Product Management best practices
- Use data and metrics to identify improvement opportunities across teams
- Support enterprise initiatives such as tooling adoption, AI enablement, and operational efficiency
- Champion a “product-first” and outcome-driven mindset across the organization
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Strong experience in people management within Agile/Product organizations
- Deep understanding of Agile / Scrum (SAFe preferred) delivery models
- Expertise using JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, MS 365
- Strong AI literacy, with the ability to guide teams on responsible use of AI in product and delivery workflows
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including executive-level presentations
- Proven ability to resolve complex issues and navigate difficult discussions using data
Required Experience & Education
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Product Management, Software Delivery, or related roles
- 5+ years of experience managing product or agile teams
- Prior experience owning or managing complex enterprise product portfolios
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or business-related field (or equivalent experience)
- Development or solution design background preferred
- Product Management or Agile certifications (SAFe, POPM, AI Product Management, etc.) preferred but not mandatory
Location & Work Details
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Hybrid model: 3 days WFO / 2 days WAH
- Location: HIH Office, Hyderabad
