About the Role
The Global Compensation Analyst is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital team and will be responsible for serving as a central point of contact to provide analysis and guidance on compensation related matters for the Staff population under the direction of senior management, while using market data to provide compensation recommendations for individual positions across the firm and identifying comparable positions and industries to make recommendations for hard-to-find or unique positions. This role will be located in our Downtown Los Angeles office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Conducting job analyses on both existing and new jobs to determine the appropriate salary level according to firm guidelines and market conditions
- Providing compensation analysis at the person-to-person, job-to-job, office-to-office, and firm-to-market levels to ensure equity and competitiveness
- Staying abreast of available compensation surveys and compensation-related market research to identify and review those products which the firm should use as analysis and research tools on a regular basis
- Staying current on all compensation-related regulations and helping to ensure compliance with current compensation policies and processes
- Participating in salary surveys and analyzing market compensation survey results to determine the firm’s market relationship
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Possess knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger, budgeting, and budget variance analysis
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of compensation and benefits practices
- Exhibit well-developed and professional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
And have:
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent, preferably with a focus in human resources, finance, or a related field
- A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification, preferably
- A minimum of three (3) years of compensation administration, human resources, or financial analysis experience
