Geotechnical Engineer
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be involved in the monitoring and continuous improvement of geotechnical studies and processes, as well as in the implementation of safety, quality, and environmental standards. Main Responsibilities: Conduct geotechnical studies related to mining projects (slope stability, foundations, soils, etc.); Monitor and analyze soil and structural behavior linked to mining operations; Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure safety and optimize performance; Propose continuous improvement solutions for mining infrastructure (slopes, retaining structures, etc.); Participate in the design and sizing of geotechnical structures during operation or development phases; Contribute to the implementation of site development or expansion projects; Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Required Skills: Knowledge of mining operations and related geotechnical constraints; Proficiency in geotechnical modeling tools (Plaxis, Slide, FLAC, etc.); Strong analytical and synthesis skills, technical rigor, and a field-oriented approach; Good understanding of maintenance management systems (CMMS) and continuous improvement methods; Knowledge of HSE standards in an industrial or mining environment. Profile Sought: Engineering degree in geotechnics, civil engineering, or a related field, with specialization or experience in the mining sector; 2 to 3 years of professional experience, ideally in an industrial mining environment; Team player, autonomous, and responsible; Ability to work in remote areas or on operational sites.
