Overview Lead the end-to-end incubation, launch, and scale-up of venture concepts within the assigned territory, acting as the single-threaded owner of business performance. This role is accountable for translating global venture strategy into local execution, ensuring rapid validation of business models, strong unit economics, and disciplined scaling once product-market fit is achieved. The BU Lead operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, orchestrating cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence, commercial traction, and financial sustainability Responsibilities 1. Venture Launch & Market Entry Own the localization and execution of global venture playbooks, adapting them to territory-specific dynamics (consumer, regulatory, operational). Lead end-to-end launch readiness, ensuring alignment across supply chain, operations, commercial, and compliance. Drive disciplined execution against launch timelines, ensuring speed without compromising operational integrity. 2. Business Performance Ownership Act as full P&L owner for the territory, driving revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost optimization. Monitor and steer key business drivers (pricing, demand generation, cost structure, throughput). Identify performance gaps and deploy rapid test-and-learn cycles to optimize outcomes. 3. Cross-Functional Orchestration Lead a matrixed team across functions, ensuring clear priorities, accountability, and execution cadence. Align stakeholders on trade-offs, resource allocation, and critical decisions. Build strong operating rhythms (weekly performance reviews, launch trackers, escalation forums). 4. Scaling & Replication Define scaling strategy once product-market fit and unit economics are validated. Standardize processes and playbooks to enable replication across sites or cities. Lead expansion planning, including site selection, resource planning, and operational readiness. 5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Drive ongoing optimization of customer experience, operational efficiency, and commercial performance. Leverage data and insights to refine value proposition and business model. Identify innovation opportunities (new channels, formats, partnerships) to accelerate growth. 6. Governance & Stakeholder Management Provide structured, data-driven updates to global leadership, highlighting performance, risks, and opportunities. Proactively escalate risks with clear mitigation plans. Ensure compliance with internal standards and local regulatory requirements. Qualifications 8–15 years of experience in commercial operations, general management, or multi-site leadership Proven track record launching, operating, and scaling new business models (startups, ventures, or new formats) Strong P&L ownership mindset with deep financial and analytical acumen Ability to operate in ambiguity and build structure in fast-evolving environments Experience leading cross-functional teams in matrix organizations Strong problem-solving skills with a test-and-learn mentality High ownership, resilience, and bias for action
