Finance Manager
Position Summary
Position SummarySamsung is looking for an exceptional finance professional to join the North America Services Business division. We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-starter with strong analytical skills and business acumen who will be supporting various faucets of financial management and operation for the division with focuses on establishing solid controllership and driving operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as finance partner for NASB division providing end-to-end finance support, from helping the business teams navigate through the complex company policies and processes surrounding budget executions, establishing reporting requirements, budget management and reporting cadence, reviewing contracts and validating payment requests and proof of delivery
• Lead financial and operational controllership through establishing new processes and providing guidance on existing internal control measures and monitoring and reporting on the results, ensuring compliance and control of financial risks
• Partner with our marketing organization to provide day to day support in budget execution
• Support the division’s quarterly and bi-annual MBO processes, from planning, result validation, reporting and communication management
• Deliver monthly, quarterly financial and operating performance reporting packages, highlighting key results, analyzing variances, producing actionable insights and communicating with the key stakeholders
• Manage strategic finance projects focused on ROI measurement on investments and spending
• Create and maintain financial models to drive insights and produce actionable insights
• Manage policy and processes around business travel requests, expenses, and OOPs
• Support annual business planning process
• Support month-end closing, forecasting and ad-hoc management reporting
Role and Responsibilities
Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experiences in accounting, FP&A or similar position
- Strong background in accounting principles
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment and deliver results within the established timeframe while maintaining strong data integrity and meeting competing deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership in building new processes, automate and improve operational workflows, and manage multiple reporting requirements
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and ability to think through the problem to identify the root cause and develop actionable solutions & execute
- Experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm preferred
- Experience in audit preferred

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to use excel macros (VBA) to create custom automations and reporting a plus
- Bilingual in Korean preferred but not required
Skills and Qualifications
Physical/Mental Demands
Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 80% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PC’s, printers, copiers, faxes,
and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working
additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently
demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to,
attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
Compensation for this role for a candidate based in New York is expected to be between $135,000 and $155,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
