Field Service Technician (30-33 Hours Per Week)

A growing provider of personal emergency response solutions is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Field Service Technician to support clients across a regional service area. This role involves hands-on technical work combined with strong interpersonal interaction, primarily serving seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes.

This is a part-time position averaging 30 hours per week, with scheduling based on appointment demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, service, and retrieve personal emergency response systems (PERS) in client homes
  • Provide basic technical support and troubleshoot equipment issues on-site
  • Deliver a high level of customer service with patience and professionalism
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate updates as needed
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours equipment-related service requests (non-medical emergencies)
  • Occasionally travel to support training of new technicians (expenses covered)

Qualifications

  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to work effectively with elderly and disabled populations
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Willingness to travel within the region and occasionally for longer appointments (up to a few hours round trip)
  • Availability during standard business hours with some flexibility as needed

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Primary service hours are weekdays during standard business hours, with occasional variability based on client needs
  • Role involves daily travel to client locations

Additional Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with applicable laws
