Executive Product Owner - Banker Workbench
See Yourself in our Team
You’ll join Customer Channels and Data within Business Bank, working in the CRM Workbench Crew. The Crew is building an AI-enabled platform that is reshaping relationship management into a hybrid-agentic model, giving frontline teams greater capacity to focus on the interactions that matter most. It is a significant opportunity to shape the core customer context and intelligence layer that sits at the heart of Banker Workbench.
Do Work that Matters
As Executive Product Owner for CRM Core, you will define and lead the product strategy for the foundational customer capabilities that make Banker Workbench intelligent, trusted and commercially effective. This includes Customer 360, relationships and hierarchies, segmentation, customer-to-portfolio assignment, and the containment and exposure of strategic customer signals.
You will work at the intersection of customer experience, data, analytics, AI and platform transformation to build a reusable, AI-ready layer of customer truth. This is a role for someone who can connect strategic intent with data-rich product thinking, strengthen the bank’s proprietary CRM data moat, and enable sharper sales and service outcomes through high-quality, explainable customer context and signals.
What you’ll do
- Define and own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for CRM Core, aligned to Crew objectives and Business Banking priorities.
- Lead the development of foundational CRM capabilities including Customer 360, customer search, relationship structures, segmentation, portfolio assignment and signal exposure.
- Shape a trusted and reusable customer context layer that improves banker productivity, strengthens insight quality and supports better commercial and customer outcomes.
- Act as the voice of the customer, frontline and business, translating complex customer, portfolio and data needs into clear outcomes for squads.
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management, including discovery, prioritisation, release coordination, deployment and continuous optimisation.
- Partner closely with engineering, architecture, analytics and data teams on service domains, APIs, data models, signal logic and integration patterns.
- Lead product decisions on how customer truth, relationships, segmentation and ownership are defined, surfaced and consumed across Workbench experiences.
- Manage and influence senior stakeholders across Business, Technology, Data and Support Units to align priorities and delivery commitments.
- Own operational risk and issue management, including the implementation of controls required for data quality, access, traceability and governed scale.
- Maintain a healthy, prioritised backlog that delivers measurable customer, colleague and commercial outcomes.
What you bring
- Significant experience as a senior or executive-level Product Owner in large, complex organisations.
- Proven success designing, mapping and delivering products that span multiple domains, platforms or business units.
- Strong product leadership in data-rich and technology-oriented environments, with the ability to establish long-term product vision grounded in deep customer understanding.
- Experience working on CRM, customer data, customer identity, customer intelligence, segmentation or portfolio management capabilities.
- Comfort leading in complex platform and data environments, translating data and architectural complexity into clear priorities, product decisions and measurable value.
- Credibility partnering with engineering, architecture, analytics and data teams on service domains, APIs, data structures and reusable platform capabilities.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, risk and control environments, ideally in financial services or another regulated industry.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders across business, technology and data functions.
- A strong customer mindset combined with commercial and operational acumen, including an appreciation of how customer context and signal quality drive downstream sales and service outcomes.
- Experience working in agile environments and lifting squad and product maturity.
