The Divisional Sales Manager (DSM) provides strategic commercial leadership across a full sales division, driving revenue growth, BDP productivity, and effectiveness. This role ensures the successful execution of Justine’s sales strategy through disciplined performance management, market development, capability building, and operational governance. The DSM serves as the primary connector between national strategy and field execution, ensuring sustainable growth and brand representation.Key responsibilities:
1. STRATEGIC EXECUTION
Translate national commercial strategy into divisional plans, ensuring all campaigns, offers, and category focus areas are executed with excellence.
Set divisional sales forecasts, growth priorities, market penetration targets, and quarterly execution roadmaps.
Lead strategic and tactical field activation across the division, ensuring alignment with BDP’S and internal stakeholders.
Monitor division wide performance trends and adjust strategic actions proactively to close gaps and drive accelerated growth.
Oversee the execution of Field Rituals at scale (campaign launches, divisional reviews, leader forums, BDP engagement sessions).
2. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Own full divisional KPI delivery as per business requirements
Analyse sales performance data, identify risks and opportunities, and develop targeted intervention plans for underperforming areas.
Evaluate BDP portfolio performance and ensure strong performance discipline across the division.
Leverage digital insights, forecasting tools, and dashboards to guide strategic decision making and improve divisional outcomes.
Implement corrective actions at scale, collaborating with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to address constraints or market shifts.
3. SALES LEADER & TALENT DEVELOPMENT
Accelerate the development of top-performing BDP’S to strengthen the talent pipeline.
Ensure BDP”S are effectively mobilising their teams, executing recruitment strategies, and driving Rep activation.
Coach BDP’S through structured development plans (short- and long-term), using performance data and behavioural insights.
Drive capability uplift in leadership, business acumen, digital fluency, coaching skills, and category expertise.
Promote a strong culture of leadership excellence, recognition, performance accountability, and inclusion across the division.
4. MARKET EXPANSION & BUSINESS GROWTH
Identify new market opportunities, geographic gaps, and untapped customer segments to expand Justine’s footprint.
Build divisional commercial plans that respond to competitor activity, consumer behaviour, and economic trends.
Strengthen relationships with key community partners, high-potential entrepreneurs, and external stakeholders.
Drive initiatives that strengthen brand presence, optimise field reach, and improve customer experience.
5. OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT & GOVERNANCE
Ensure accurate, timely reporting of divisional performance, expense control, forecasts, and operational metrics.
Oversee administration across the division, including compliance, communications cascades, and SL governance.
Ensure effective implementation of national processes such as campaign communications, digital rollouts, and cost management.
Partner with Finance and Supply Chain to align stock availability, incentives, and planning assumptions with divisional demand.
6. BRAND & VALUES LEADERSHIP
Champion Justine’s purpose, values, and brand heritage across the division.
Serve as a divisional role model, fostering belonging, empowerment, confidence, and purpose within the field network.
Ensure ethical leadership, customer-centricity, and professionalism in all field activities.
Cultivate a culture centred on empowerment, accountability, and relationship-building aligned to Avon Justine values.
