Compliance Manager

Key responsibilities: The Compliance Manager role is a senior support role for the North American Legal and Compliance within deugro. The successful candidate will be tasked with oversight and management responsibility over certain legal and compliance related tasks, the complexity of which will vary based upon the qualifications of the individual selected. The Compliance Manager duties and responsibilities will include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Serve as a subject matter expert on export regulatory controls and other trade-compliance matters. Develop, implement, maintain and update the Company’s Export Compliance Manual and any other required Export Control documents. Proactively engage Business Units to understand business needs and export impacts. Develop and clearly communicate export regulatory guidance, including TSA and FMC advisement to internal and external stakeholders. Develop and conduct export compliance trainings internally and externally. Formulate export compliance policies and procedures. Conduct export compliance audits and identify training opportunities and corrective actions. Ensure compliance with all export regulations and laws. Facilitate communications with government agencies and trade organizations. Oversee TSA Compliance program, including, but not limited to: maintaining STA documents and renewals, updating IACMS as needed (daily/weekly/monthly), managing KSMS and any other duties as assigned Oversee NVOCC licensure (deugro Ocean Transport) and ensure compliance with FMC laws and regulations and standard industry practice. Conduct quarterly internal compliance audits, risk assessments, file audits for all North America branches. Maintain accurate audit records and related documentation. Identify and mitigate potential compliance risks. Keep up to date with changes to international trade regulations and laws. Serve as company’s Legal Ethics Officer. Host trainings for new employees and continuously train existing employees on various compliance matters. All other duties as assigned. Occupational Health Safety Comply with all safe work practices and procedures set in place by deugro. Adhere and enforce deugro QHSES Policy and Procedures. Work with due care and consideration to safeguard own health and safety and the health and safety of others. Report incidents/accidents/near misses.
